Brighton Drug Dealer Busted During Routine Police Stop
A 21-year-old drug dealer, Asllan Hasbajrami, has been jailed for 18 months after a routine traffic stop in Brighton revealed a stash of cocaine and cash. SEU officers spotted Hasbajrami driving on Preston Road without a licence or insurance, raising their suspicions instantly.
Fake ID Fail and Cocaine Stash Exposed
During the stop, Hasbajrami acted nervously and handed over false personal details alongside fraudulent ID in a bid to dodge arrest. But a thorough vehicle search uncovered 16 wraps of cocaine, two burner phones, and cash. Brighton CID quickly launched an investigation into his drug dealing activities.
Multiple Charges Lead to Jail
Hasbajrami faced several charges, including supply of class A drugs, driving without a valid licence, no insurance, and resisting arrest. At Lewes Crown Court on January 12, he admitted all offences and was handed an 18-month prison sentence.
Deportation Looms After Prison Term
Formerly from Beaconsfield Road, Brighton, Hasbajrami could now be deported to Albania once his sentence is served. SEU Inspector Ollie Pullen praised officers for disrupting drug crime, saying:
“Our officers were carrying out proactive patrols to disrupt criminals using the roads and stop the supply of harmful drugs in our communities. Hasbajrami’s fake Italian licence simply didn’t stand up.”
This case highlights law enforcement’s ongoing fight against drug crime to keep communities safe.
