Thames Valley Police are urgently asking for the public’s assistance in locating Aaliyah, a 15-year-old girl who has been missing since April 16.
Aaliyah was last seen in person at approximately 1.50am on Thursday, April 16, in Windsor, her hometown. Later that morning, CCTV footage captured her on Smallbrook Queensway, Birmingham, just before 10am after she took a train into Birmingham New Street station.
She is about 5ft 3ins tall, with long black hair and an average build. At the time of her disappearance, Aaliyah was wearing blue jeans and a black jacket.
Reports indicate she may have travelled by taxi to Kettering and taken train journeys to Leicester and Birmingham. Aaliyah is known to have connections to East Berkshire, Birmingham, and Dover.
Police have also noted that she has been seen asking strangers to use their mobile phones. They urge anyone who has been approached by her or who has any information to contact them immediately.
Detective Chief Inspector Tracey Smyth said, “We are extremely concerned for Aaliyah’s welfare. She’s been missing for more than a week, and her age plus the fact she could be anywhere worry us. We’re pulling out all the stops but need the public’s help.”
