West Midlands Police have launched an urgent appeal for information following a vehicle break-in on Monument Road, Ladywood, Birmingham, which occurred on 8 April.
Several items were stolen during the incident, including bank cards. One of the stolen cards was subsequently used fraudulently in shops near the scene, leading to a police investigation aimed at identifying the suspect and preventing further offences.
Officers have released a photo of a man they wish to question in connection with the car theft. The police are urging members of the public to come forward if they recognise the individual or have any information that could assist the investigation.
The fraudulent use of the stolen bank cards at local shops has been closely monitored by police as part of their inquiry into the offence.
West Midlands Police encourage anyone with relevant information to contact them on 101, quoting log number 1388 dated 9 April. The force stresses that public cooperation is vital in identifying the offender and resolving the case.
