Man seriously injured during altercation in St Leonards last Friday

Police appealing for witnesses to disturbance in St Leonards

olice are appealing for witnesses to an altercation in St Leonards on Friday (May 15).

Officers received a number of calls reporting a disturbance in Western Road around 6pm. One man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Police are keen to hear from anyone who has any information about the altercation, who saw what happened or who may have photographs or videos of the incident.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police online or by calling 101 quoting serial 1111 of 15/05. Alternatively, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

A 40-year-old man from Hastings was arrested on suspicion of affray and released under investigation pending further enquiries.

A 31-year-old woman from St Leonards was arrested on suspicion of affray and assault by beating. She has been released on conditional bail until June 12.

A 52-year-old man from St Leonards was arrested on suspicion of affray. He has been released under investigating while enquiries continue.
