Emergency services scrambled to rescue persons cut off by tide

Newhaven Coastguard Team called at 8pm this evening to assist Police for a search for 2 persons reported missing in the seven sisters county park.

A hasty search located the 2 persons cut off by the tide.

Newhaven Lifeboat was requested to assist.

Both casualties were safely rescued and brought ashore for a check over.
