Police are appealing for witnesses following two separate robberies in Worthing.

Around 10.45pm on Friday 5 June, a 27-year-old woman was pushed to the ground in Tarring Road, outside West Worthing railway station.

She had her bag stolen, which contained a small amount of cash and personal items, before five male suspects – some on bikes and others on foot – fled the scene east along Tarring Road.

Then about 12.30am on Saturday 6 June, a 20-year-old woman was pushed to the ground by two men on bikes. She managed to run away and nothing was stolen.

The incidents are believed to be linked and police are urging anyone with any information to report it online or call 101, quoting serial 1532 of 05/06/
