Police are appealing for information about the theft of a much-loved family caravan motorhome from a builders’ yard in Rye.
At about 8pm on Sunday 31 May a Nissan Navara and a Vauxhall Antara, both black, entered Jempsons yard in Rye where the motorhome has been kept for many years when not in family use. The Navara was then hooked up to it and it was driven away.
Investigator Simon French said; “This theft has caused a great deal of upset and distress to the victim and her family as the caravan belonged to her late husband and was kept by the family for sentimental reasons after his death just two years ago this month.
“We hope this image of the motorhome actually being driven away from the yard will jog memories, and perhaps consciences.
