Police investigating a report of an armed robbery in East Grinstead have charged a man.
On Sunday (26 April), around 12.30am, the victim was walking along Lewes Road when two suspects on a motorbike allegedly threatened him with a weapon and demanded that he hand over his belongings.
Jack Chambers, 18, of East Grinstead, has been charged with robbery and possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear or violence.
He was also charged with receiving stolen goods, criminal damage and possession of Class A and B drugs in connection with separate incidents.
Chambers has been remanded in custody and will appear in court at a date to be determined.
