Five men have been charged with multiple offences after police officers were violently attacked in Dartford during the early hours of 22 April 2026.
Just after 1am, officers stopped a vehicle of interest on Carlisle Road. The situation quickly escalated when seven officers were assaulted. Two officers sustained serious injuries and were rushed to hospital but have since been discharged. The remaining five officers suffered minor injuries.
The five suspects were arrested at the scene and charged the following day. They are:
- Yusef Johnson, 31, of Singleton Close, London – charged with two counts of grievous bodily harm (GBH) and affray.
- Jordan Johnson, 31, of Carlisle Road, Dartford – charged with affray, actual bodily harm (ABH), and assault on an emergency service worker.
- Gary Nembhard, 55, of Bennetts Close, Mitcham – charged with affray.
- Kamal Johnson, 25, of Carlisle Road, Dartford – charged with affray.
- Georgie Bishop, 25, of Farrington Avenue, Orpington – charged with assault on an emergency service worker and obstructing a constable.
The five men appeared at Sevenoaks Magistrates Court on 23 April 2026. Yusef Johnson and Jordan Johnson were remanded in custody, while Gary Nembhard, Kamal Johnson, and Georgie Bishop were granted bail.
They are scheduled to appear next at Maidstone Crown Court on Friday, 22 May 2026.
